Welcome
Welcome to The New Dundee Choir That Doesn’t Have A Name Yet!
Our name (or lack of one) is part of our identity – it keeps us free to explore and enjoy a diverse range of music. While we love harmonizing to pop classics from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, our repertoire knows no bounds. From folk tunes to Broadway hits, Gilbert and Sullivan to BTS, we embrace any song our director Gerard can arrange for joyful group singing.
Our Philosophy:
There are no auditions – everyone is welcome
We sing for fun and personal growth
We learn by ear, but with sheet music as a guide
We sometimes perform for fun and to build confidence, but without pressure
Led by Gerard Johnson, renowned music director (notably for indie-pop band Saint Etienne), we meet most Mondays during term-time, 7-8:30 PM, at Blackness Library’s upper meeting room.
While we’re currently at capacity with 50 wonderful members, we encourage interested singers to join our waiting list for future openings.
Join us in creating music, building friendships, and celebrating the joy of singing together!
